On March 26, Shahen Sabir was given an appreciation award from general director of Civil Development Organization-CDO, Kurdistan Naz Volunteers and Nwegar Organization at CDO office.

She voluntarily hosted “Women of Kurdistan” Festival which was held by CDO, Kurdistan Naz Volunteers and Nwegar Organization, the festival revenue donated to Orphanage Home and Women’s Shelter.

Shahen Sabir is one of the active female journalists, who has been continuous supportive member in art and charity activities.

On March 22, World Water Day, Civil Development Organization-CDO launched “Conservation and Importance of Water” awareness project.
The project started by translating a children booklet from French to Kurdish.
Thanks in advanced to Danielle Mitterrand-France Libertès Foundation which gave free translation rights to CDO and special thanks to the translator Sarbast Sewkani.
World Water Day designated in 1992 by United Nations and celebrated from 1993 as a day to remind the world about the importance of water, focus on water conservation and Show the number of people who don’t have access to clean water.

On 14 March, at CDO Conference Hall Civil Development Organization-CDO, Kurdistan Naz Volunteers and Nwegar Organization held a Press Conference, to present “Hani Concert” revenue which donates to Orphanage Home and Women’s Shelter.

The total revenue monitored and audited by both Sulaymaniyah Directorate of Culture and General Directorate of Social Care and Development.

The total revenue of the concert was 14.100000 IQD fourteen million and one hundred thousand Iraqi Dinars, and less than 7.000000 IQD seven million Iraqi Dinars was the cost for the preparation, the rest donates to Orphanage Home and Women’s Shelter which is 7,750,000 IQD seven million and seven hundred fifty thousand Iraqi Dinars.         

On March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day Civil Development Organization-CDO, Kurdistan Naz Volunteers and Nwegar Organization held “Women of Kurdistan Festival” by supporting Kurdsat Broadcasting Corporation in cooperation with Sulaymaniyah Directorate of Culture. Concert of Kurdish Singer “Hani” was also a part of the festival.

Civil Development Organization-CDO on the occasion of Women’s Day conducted two sewing courses for women of Darbandikhan, in order to support them and obtain their own financial resources.

The courses started from 3 March and will continue for one month. 70 women benefited from the courses.

Civil Development Organization-CDO continues to conduct various activities of Non-Formal Education project at Ashti Camp, including handcraft, instruction, drawing, playing games and other different activities.

The aims of the project are developing capacities of the children and taking care of them.

Everyday More than 200 children are participating in the activities.

Non-Formal Education was a project that implemented by CDO in partnership with Danielle Mitterrand  Foundation in the 2018 which achieved considerable success in children services, now CDO continues the activities of the project runs by internal fund and volunteering work.
