A Workshop Conducted for Women Groups of Arbat and Chamchamal Community Centers

Today, November 28, LABS 51 Organization conducted a workshop for Women Groups of Arbat and Chamchamal Community Centers, in presence of representatives of Civil Development Organization and UNHCR, at CDO-Conference Hall.

The aim of the workshop was to get ideas of the projects from both groups of women also to assess the strengths and weaknesses, in addition to explaining plans and needs of the project, and the next steps to start in order to develop and support their projects next year.

It’s been decided that next year managing of both centers will be responsibility of these two groups of women and also there will be more training by LABS 51 Organization so that they can implement their projects for the next year successfully.

CDO Provides Gifts for Patients with Thalassemia

Within the start of the cold season, on November 26, Emergency Response Unit at Civil

Development Organization- CDO in cooperation with Sulaymaniyah Thalassemia Association, provided gifts for patients with Thalassemia. 

The gifts contained winter clothes and shoes and were distributed over 40 children.

Kalar Community Center opened two profession training courses including Mobile Phone and Air Conditioner repairing, for27 individuals of IDPs and host community, in order to support and help them to obtain their own financial resources.

Both training courses will continue for 3 months, they have almost completed the first stage by now.

Kalar Community Center is a project implemented by Civil Development Organization-CDO in partnership with UNHCR.

Arbat Community Center Conducted an English Course for Refugee Children

Arbat Community Center which is a project implemented by Civil Development Organization-CDO in partnership with UNHCR, conducted an English course for refugee children aged 8-11 years, in order to support them and improve their English language.

29 children took part in the course and participated in the final test of evaluation. The course lasted for 3 months and ended on November 12, 2018.
